About

Hi, I’m Alice.

I’m the founder and florist behind The Cambridge Florist.

A few years ago I was leading a marketing team at a fast-growing tech company, but I knew it wasn’t where I wanted to be. I was very poorly, and I knew something had to change. I needed a different kind of life. One with more moments of joy, where I could be creative and feel fulfilled.

So I did something pretty drastic. I retrained as a florist.

It wasn’t a lifelong dream I’d been quietly nurturing since I was five. I just knew I needed to build a different life full of joy. And somewhere along the way, I fell completely in love with flowers, particularly the creativity, the people and the sheer joy of designing something beautiful and meaningful.

A few years later I’m still here. And I bloody love it.

I’m a studio florist based in Cambridge, working with couples across the UK. While I’m proudly Cambridge-based, I’m not limited to Cambridge. I travel for weddings and love getting to work in new places, with different people.

My work is contemporary, considered and completely bespoke. I don’t want your wedding flowers to look like everyone else’s, and I’m not interested in simply handing you a brochure and asking you to pick a package.

Instead, I work closely with you to understand what you love, what you don’t, how you want your wedding to feel and what is important to you both. Then we build the flowers from there.

I love flowers with personality. Unexpected combinations. Beautiful colour. Interesting shapes. Designs that feel effortless but have actually been thought about rather a lot.

Most importantly, I want the process to be as enjoyable as the end result. You don’t need to know the difference between a ranunculus and a rose. You just need to know what you like. I’ll take care of the rest.

Beautiful flowers, beautifully done. And anything but ordinary.
